Actually this is a better "happy 4th July" photo for all my US friends

We went out early, in the Z3 with the top down. From Portland out over the hills to the big rolling blue ocean. First Cannon Beach, and then short stops at all sorts of little nooks and interesting places down the coast until we found lunch: some "shuck 'em yourself" oysters at Nehalem Bay.

On again, stopping for some lovely cheese just out of Tillamook. Hurrying south to the three rivers highway and then inland: winewards. Highway 22 almost to Salem, then 221 north in search of Pinot Noir, which we found at Mystic Wine, just before closing, where I took the photo of the BMW posing in the late afternoon light.

A quick tasting and a few bottles for later and then north, back to the house by the river. Relaxing, after dark, reclining on the deck with a glass.
